A Brief History of My Career in Real Estate
I began working in real estate sales in February 1975 after being in the financial and construction industry in the previous four years. Both of my grandmothers were real estate brokers, and they were very active in property management and investment property. Although I didn’t study business in college, I quickly learned that sales came naturally to me.
In the later part of 1974, I moved to Ventura, CA. There, I raised four children who went on to become successful and well-educated adults. They all have advanced degrees, and they are involved in education, counseling, human resources, and public health. I’d like to think that my commitment to offering quality service and helping others has been an inspiration for each of my children.
As the owner of a company, I have overseen hundreds of real estate transactions aside from the ones I handled. Managing all of these has allowed me to develop great leadership skills. In 1998, I closed my office and decided to focus on personal clients full-time. This shift resulted in my most productive and rewarding years, even with the recent recession and two others along the way!
